On Monday 24th November the Y3 & Y4 class visited the Sheffield Jewish Congregation and Centre.  The trip was organised to support classwork about the Jewish Faith which was carried out during our 'other faith' week.  We were met by Irenie who showed us around the Synagogue and answered our MANY questions.  She made us feel very welcome.  It was great to see the children being able to link the work covered in school with a real-life experience.  We had an excellent day and learnt much about the Jewish place of worship and Jewish traditions.

On returning to school the Y3 children took part in a 'Team Synagogue' activity where they had to make a 3D model of a Synagogue.  Each group were in charge of a particular part of the building process including the inside and outside of the building, the congregation and the surrounding areas.  The children showed excellent team-work, co-operation and resilience.
