Y3 trip to Weston Park Museum

On Friday 17th October to celebrate the end of our topic 'Has Greece always been in the news?'  Year 3 went to Weston Park Museum to take part in a Greek Workshop and to have a look around the museum to observe its different features and to find out facts about the Ancient Greeks.  The children all had a fantastic day learning all about the Ancient Greeks when walking around the museum and investigating the different rooms to find information.  In the afternoon during the Greek Workshop the children had to all work together as a team to build a large 3D Parthenon.  They took part in role-play activities to act out some Ancient Greek stories and enjoyed taking part in art/craft activities to make artefacts specific to the Greek Gods and Goddesses.  The children's behaviour was excellent and they were a credit to our school.
