Y6's recent trip to PGL - Day 1.

On September 8th, an excited and emotional group of parents and children congregated in the entrance to St. Mary's. We were off to PGL; ready to experience the thrills and spills of a residential trip away from home (a real milestone for some children and parents).
The weather was beautiful when we arrived, we were shown our accommodation, had lunch then were given a tour of the extensive grounds then played some games. After that it was time for the 1st activities:

Zip Wire and Orienteering

After activities had drawn to a close, we returned to our rooms, made ourselves presentable and went for tea. As sun was setting we were all taken to a fantastic vantage point, overlooking the lakes and the campfire was lit. Hannah, our leader, led us in some amusing (and sometimes ridiculous) singing. We toasted marshmallows and just generally had a fab time bonding as a class.
