We would like to extend an invitation to all prospective parents to experience some of what our school can offer your child and family.  At St. Mary’s we pride ourselves on our sense of community and seeing the school as a family.  As such, we warmly invite and actively encourage prospective parents to come and look around our school.

Here at St. Mary’s, we understand that the decision you are about to make can be a difficult one and we would like to support parents in having the right information to make a decision that best suits the needs of your child and family.

We are holding open days in September and October (see flyer & information below) and personal appointments are also available on request throughout the year.

(listen to each class in school reciting poems to celebrate National Poetry Day)

Friday 18^th October – Harvest Festival

(Please bring along a donation for our local food bank)

Monday 11^th November 10.45 – 11.15am – Remembrance Service

Thursday 14^th November 9.00 – 9.30am – Reading Morning  & Odd Socks

(Come along in your odd socks, in recognition that we are all different to support anti-bullying week, and read a book with your child in the school hall)

Thursday 28^th November 9.00 – 10.00am – Crib Making

(Craft materials will be available to make a Nativity scene)

Thursday 28^th November 3.15 – 3.45pm – Festival of Cribs

(Come along and look at the nativity scenes made by the children at home and in school)

Friday 29^th November 2.30 – 3.15pm – Christingle Service

(We will provide the Christingle)

Wednesday 11^th December 9.00 – 9.30am Reading Morning

(Come along in your Christmas jumper and read a book with your child in the school hall)

Wednesday 11^th December 3.30 – 5.00pm – Christmas Fair

Thursday 12^th December 6.00 – 7.00pm – Travelling Carols

(Starting at St. Mary’s School)

Friday 20^th December 2.15 – 3.15pm – Candle Lit Carols

(Come along an sing some traditional carols with whole school community)
