Most schools have seen real term cuts in funding over recent years. At St Mary's, we have lost £264 per child as a result of the reduced budget. Whilst we are financially responsible and have already made savings and cuts where possible, there is an inevitable impact on the service we can provide.

In order to maintain a quality service, we have turned to our school community for support in the following ways:

School Support Fund - signing up to the school support fund gives us £10 per child per year. This can be paid via yearly standing order or on ParentMail. The cost of this per child is less than 20p a week.

School Lottery - FOSM run a weekly lottery. Numbers cost £1 per week and go into a draw to win a weekly £50 prize. This can be paid by monthly standing order, on ParentMail or at reading morning.

Gift Aid - Completing a gift aid form allows St Mary's to claim back 25% of your donations to school at no additional cost to you.

Easy Fundraising - easyfundraising turns your online shopping into donations for St Mary's at no cost to you. Visit your favourite retailers through the easyfundraising website, install the donation reminder or download the app to activate the donation. See link below.

Amazon Smile - Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase cost. Start your shopping at smile.amazon.co.uk or see link below.

Books Wish List - In order to keep our libraries up to date and replace old books, we have created a books wish list on Amazon. See link below. 

FOSM - Every parent is automatically a member of Friends of St Mary's. Please support the events they organise. 

We know that every family will be different in terms of the financial support they can offer. Gift aid, easyfundraising and Amazon Smile come at no additional cost to you and we would urge our families to sign up to these schemes even if your circumstances mean you can do no more. If your family circumstances mean you can donate more, then please do so. Every £ makes a difference and is very gratefully received and put to use for the benefit of all our children.
